Recruitment for student and recent graduate volunteer roles takes place at set times throughout the year.

The University of Queensland Law School's Pro Bono Centre connects students to additional volunteer opportunities that exist at the Centre related to law reform and community legal education. Interested students should contact the Pro Bono Centre to get involved.
PLT students
Caxton Legal Centre works with students completing the practical component of their Practical Legal Training. Generally positions are only available to students who can commit to a 75 day placement.
The role of the PLT Student is to provide paralegal support, administration and research assistance. The PLT Student is expected to be enrolled in a PLT Program at a recognised Australian University/College, be highly motivated, resourceful and have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Placements may be available in the Generalist Service, the Consumer Law program and the Seniors Legal and Support Service. The position is an unpaid volunteer placement.
