Urgent need for legal volunteers with employment law experience!
We are continuing to experience a huge demand for IR advice. We'd absolutely love to hear from any lawyer who can contribute one night per month. Our clients need you! Please call or email if you can help.
Benefits of volunteering include listing in the Centre's referral list, reduced prices for Centre publications and training programs and invitations to special volunteer events - all while working to make the law accessible for disadvantaged people.
For further information please call our Volunteer Coordinator Camielle Donaghey on (07) 3254 1811 or email camielle@caxton.org.au.
Student Volunteers
Caxton student and graduate volunteer intake for 2010 is now closed. Check this site again for future updates or visit the Queensland Association of Independent Legal Services website at www.qails.org.au for contact details of other centre which may need student volunteers.
PLT students who are able to complete the 15-week practical component of the course on a full-time basis can also contact the Centre. The PLT student position can be downloaded here.
Volunteer Authors
Caxton Legal Centre also relies on volunteers to contribute to its publications, particularly the Lawyers Practice Manual. If you would like to author or update a chapter in this respected looseleaf service, please contact our Publications and Promotions Coordinator. All authors are entitled to a free subscription (valued at $1500 per year).
