Solicitors
We are currently in need of lawyers from all practice areas, particularly family lawyers able to attend on a Thursday night.
Benefits of volunteering include listing in Centre's referral list, reduced prices for Centre publications and training programs and invitations to special volunteer events - all while working to make the law accessible for disadvantaged people.
For further information please call our Volunteer Coordinator Camielle Donaghey on (07) 3254 1811 or email camielle@caxton.org.au.
Student Volunteers
Caxton is not currently taking applications from student volunteers. Please check back towards the end of 2010 when applications will reopen. You can also visit the Queensland Association of Independent Legal Services website for information about other community legal centres who may be seeking student volunteers.
Caxton Legal Centre supports equal opportunity principles in the selection of its volunteers.
Volunteer Authors
Caxton Legal Centre also relies on volunteers to contribute to its publications, particularly the Lawyers Practice Manual. If you would like to author or update a chapter in this respected looseleaf service, please contact our Publications and Promotions Coordinator. All authors are entitled to a free subscription (valued at $1500 per year).
